Introduction

October 1846, the paddle steamer Kisfaludy, which cruised the waters of Lake Balaton for more than forty years, landed in the port of Alsóörs for the first time. The monument, which has an anchor shape, commemorates this event and the history of navigation on Lake Balaton.
